American Car Companies Really Suck:

Ok I know we've all heard enough about the bailout of the Big-3 auto makers but I wanna just say, they are worthless lying assholes run by the most incompetent business people I have ever seen.

Here's my story about looking for a New Car:
I am getting old, so I was shopping for a luxury car, probably the last car I will ever own. I did the right thing I started with American made, the Cadillac and the Lincoln Towncar, and I don't mean those piece of junk SUVs, I mean a real luxury 4-door sedan.

Ford has screwed up the design on the Lincoln Towncar so bad only a complete moron would buy a new 2009.

I called the Cadillac and Lincoln dealers and told them I wanted the following in my vehicle:
Remote Start with Keyless Ignition.
Sun/Moon Roof that opens but has a interior slide to eliminate all light.
Voice Activated GPS System (this is the one that talks to you).
Lojack Recovery System.

What I found out is basically forget it.
GM wants you too subscribe to their On-Star System and Ford they are so far out of it they just don't get it.
Add to the fact both American car companies want to charge you for things like white wall tires, moulding and trim package, wheel covers, trunk and floor mats, and whole host of other things that foreign car companies give you as standard on their cars.
Many of the things I wanted are not even available on GM or Ford. For example sun roofs are no longer available on the Lincoln Towncar.
To make things worse, both the Lincoln and Cadillac dealers tried to sell me a used 2008. They wanted to install the items I wanted themselves. Who would let some idiot dealer cut a hole in your car roof and install a non-factory sun roof?
If I wanted a 2008 or a used car, I would have ask for one.
What part of NEW do these putz don't understand?
When I rebelled about a 2008 they tried to push an SUV on me.
Also if you look at the option list they are obsessed with all kinds of stereo crap. Old people don't this bullshit they want comfort. These car companies are seriously out of touch with reality. No wonder they are going bankrupt.
I haven't purchased a vehicle yet but as much as I hate to do it, I will probably will go German Engineering.

Has anyone else experienced this total lack of being in-touch with the consumer's needs and wants?

As always your comments are welcomed and appreciated.

I know how frustrated you must be. I have a 2007 Ford Escape that I bought new. I love my car. It has pretty much everything I could have wanted in my first new car--leather, premium sound (I'm young, lol), power everything, a power sunroof, two-tone paint, nice wheels, etc. And, I've had great service from my dealership. I really like the Lincoln MKX (SUV), but I've been thinking lately that I'd be a fool to buy American after all this. It's a shame. I mean, the American Union workers make more putting windshield wipers on than I do as an Engineer. It's preposterous. I think I'm going your route when I buy my next car--I want the Volvo SUV. Sorry about all the hassle. Hope you find your perfect car! There is nothing like getting your car just so!

Ed, sorry to hear about your woes regarding your search for that last luxury car.It reminded me of a story regarding an old friend many years ago [1972] who went out and odered a new Cadilac,[keeping in mind, my friend who was about what my age is now, back then[60].Anyway, he orded that new car without any of the standard equipment that came on a Caddy at that time, such as power steering, power brakes, electric windows and seats, air condition, ect. ect.ect. with the belief, by eliminating all these power accessories that he would save money in the long run, with fuel cost savings. [about .35 cents a gallon at the time].Anyhow, my friend ended up paying a considerable more amount for this car versus buying a standard loaded Caddy. He would have saved himself $2800.00 by buying a loaded model and stripping it of all those power options himself, and would have been money a head by doing so. But, my friend would have rathered paid the extra cost for the car, and had these takeoffs done at the factory instead of at the dealership[for all the obvious reasons]They too tried to sell him on the same idea, and placed his unusual order anyway, and the factory was more than obliging to build that car just the way he wanted. We referred to this as typical custormer service back then, and expected nothing less.I'm not surprised by your woes and frustrations, and I wonder how Obama's addministration could ever help in this case,or any similar cases, when infact, after all, it was the party from the left [the Libs] who is the party of the unions[UAW] and are the ones who pushed their ideologies through all that global-whinning and lobbying that pressured the EPA to set such stanards and sanctions that have tied the hands of the auto makers in a lot of cases. Anyway, because of so many of these type of sanctions in this country, plants like Cat Truck Engines which was the largest tuck engines manufacture in the U.S.A. for heavy trucks for fourty years, [Kenworth,Peterbuilt,International,Freightliner] has had to step down and give way to other manufactures like Volvo, Mercedes, and Deutz,I know what you're probably thinking, "they don't sound like American companies"and they're not, and you can thank the Left for CAT's sucsessors.Hell Ed! it damn sure aint what it use to be,and I wonder if it ever will be again?Keep on blogging!!!!!!, and I'll keep on Truckin!!!!and thank you for your concerns, you are right you know, they are selling us out.

o_o very sad buying as opposite to selling seems more difficult, but if ever i want to
sell my car i would definitely keep these triffy little thing sin mind like one of the best ways to sell a car fast is on the internet. Yes, you got it right. With the help of internet, you can take advantage of millions of potential car buyers. Every day, thousands and thousands of cars are sold online. However, you need to understand that today selling a car online can result in much more money than trading, and so it can be beneficial if you spend a little bit of time and make use of online advertisements that can result in a higher sale price on used cars. Advertising a car online is one of the best methods of attracting potential buyers. Though, there are other multitudes of advertising methods, selling a car online through online advertisements is one of the fastest and best ways of reaching the vast target audience.

Nowadays, there are numerous automotive websites available in the internet that offer free car advertising services. These automotive websites act as online auto markets and has features specifically designed for selling cars. They facilitate the user to place the picture of their cars and list other information regarding the car. i 'd also kiss goodbye to the author whose writing has impressed me a lot and i 'd like to thank him.
